shareIn The Godfather, they met at an Italian family restaurant called Louis' where everyone minded their own business. They served the best veal in the city, which is easy to spell. In The Natural, Red and Roy ate at a restaurant where Red was minding Roy's business and they were eating food whose names Red couldn't spell. I'm guessing no.
-Walked five miles to school and back, uphill both ways. No, really, I have pictures- M.C. Escher
I got the impression that he couldn't spell the dishes because they were Italian. If you think about it, even spaghetti is a tricky word to someone who didn't grow up eating it.

Totally different sets on a Hollywood backlot.
shareThat is incorrect Kaneforgov. The Godfather scene was filmed at an actual restaurant in NYC, which went out of business. Last I knew it was either a curtain store or something similar.
Story on the place they WANTED for the scene and the one they used:

Mario's on Arthur Avenue! I mean, I prefer Dominick's, but you can't go wrong in that part of town.
