DVD Status
Yes, I have discovered this creepy little gem is on DVD. The good, or bad news, depending on your viewpoint is that it is likely a region 2 DVD, and almost definitely PAL.

I've finally got my hands on a copy. Yes, it is PAL, no it is not region 2, it's region FREE!
Picture quality so far (I've watched the opening credits) is on par with VHS, but isn't that "fuzzy VHS to DVDR bootleg" look (copy of a copy of a copy...). It looks like a good quality, SP rental VHS, but one that hasn't been rented out a billion times.
Full review to come.

I wouldn't hold my breath.
Do you have an aversion to Italian DVDs? The quality really is quite good, much better than my old videos could ever make on my DVDR. And the US VHS I have is an EP copy at that. :(

Ebay. Technically, I think the disc is out of print, but can be found quite readily. Search for "Mortuary Obitorio", there are copies for sale at the moment.

I have the US vhs released by Vestron and it is an SP copy. I am just about to convert it to disc. The pic looks quite clear and good on this, however th colors are a bit off so I am going to run it through a color corrector and try to fix it
for the one poster that said this will probably never come out on dvd, never say never. There have been a number of films that I said this to and only to be eventually proven wrong (some examples are the crater lake monster, don't be afraid of the dark, bermuda depths and just before dawn)
99% of you people send me PM's with questions and never bother to check that I replied to them.
This is one of those titles that will probably never end up on DVD
