Someone said, Max killed Milia in the film instead of marriying her (like in the TV version). But I was sure I caught a glimpse of both of them in the final battle-sequence. Am I wrong or was it Milia and Max (who didn't have his sunglasses on)?

yep, you're right, that is indeed max and milia at the end (max has reverse micloned and become giant-sized). the original reviewer probably missed it.

WTF?! Max became Macronized? How does that work?

Max and Milia are both in the final battle sequence…they seem to be together (relationship).

True that. If Maxmillian Jenius killed Milia, then Macross 7 wouldn't exist in the timeline. Hence Mylene Jenius.

I think part of this comes from the horrendous Clash of the Bionoids. The last we see of Max and Millia is her lying on her side in the Meltran ship, bleeding, with Max standing before her. The fact that the images of them was cut from the final battle gives the impression that she is dead, and possibly Max, too, if he didn't get off the ship.

In the film she was severely wounded, but he didn't kill her.
