What is the running time of this???

I was SOOO fortunate to buy this from the video library over a month ago. The nice person there wouldn't/didn't really know the real worth of this little ex-rental treasure so I got "Lace #1" PAL-VHS mini-series for only NZ$4.00! EVERY person that I have showed it to since (whom haven't seen it before) have been hooked and one of them even requested a repeat performance. IMO - the best of the '80's mini-series! It's done so well and has all the elements of a great story: femininity and elegance, great authentic location work (well, I thought a lot of it looked authentic!), friendships, camaraderie, romance, suspense, mystery and of course, reconciliation. My other siblings share the same tastes and consider this our childhood favourite! Highly recommended for the overnight holiday slumber party.
Okey dokey, now here comes the question: My video(s) (PAL formatted) for this series #1 have an approximate running time of 3 hours and 38 minutes (218 minutes). Amazon UK say their VHS is 226 minutes. I can understand that if it was NTSC formatted, it would have a slightly longer running time, but would it be as long as 300 minutes long? (According to IMDB, it is 300 minutes). The version I have seems complete and I don't remember anything missing from it. Does anyone have a version running 300 minutes? Does PAL to NTSC conversion make this as long as 300 minutes? Sorry if this sounds complex!
