I miss watching Lace for over 16 years already...i must have it.

I used to tape the series on CASSETTE TAPES, i didn't have a vhs, back in 1988, 1989. That is how i loved Lace. I was 12, 13 years old back then.

Now, all of a sudden, Lace came back to my mind.

And i would SO much love to have it on dvd or to download it, can anybody please help me?

I'm from Brasil, Rio de Janeiro, so i can't watch it on any american channel. Unless it airs on the web too.

Whoever can help me, please, tell me.

Cheers!!!

I have just bought Lace 1 & 2 On DVD for under £15.00 on Ebay UK. I am sure you will find a copy there either region 0 or the correct region for your area, either that or try Amazon. It is years since I saw this & I just finished re-reading my very battered copy of the book. I can't wait to see it again although I think I am going to have to pick a time when my partner is at work so I can give it the full hankie attention it deserves!

Hi,
I want to get a copy of the book. Can you tell me who the author was and where I can find it?

reply

Yep , it was written by Shirley Conran. In the original book there were four girls, Pagan, Maxine, Judy & Kate & the film/mini series basically follows the book but of course the book is a lot more detailed & a bit more adult than the Tv Series. You will really enjoy it. Again I would say look on eBAY & Amazon I know they always have copies of Lace 1 & Lace 2. Most Book shops in the UK stock it or can get it if you ask so I would also say check the book shops in your country I know it was printed in many languages. Good luck & when you do get a copy, sit back & enjoy!

An angel just posted the whole series I & II on youtube. The quality is sometimes questionable, but I was happy to watch the whole thing after 20 years of missing it.

I am having such a hard to finding Lace on either VHS or DVD. I have been looking for years just like everyone else. I have tried Ebay, Craigs list, amazon, I even made a shopping trip to the US to see if they have it. I am at my ropes end. If you can suggest or help me find it, I would be so grateful.

Hi - just checked on eBay.co.uk & they have the books but not the DVD. I have a copy of both on DVD. Bought from eBay. I suggest you keep looking. If you are UK based drop me a mail, I'll give you a hand to find them.

I also loved the Tv series & I'm a guy :) I was 14 yr old, when the series came out. It reminds me of my family... grew up with 7 sisters. Does anyone know where to get this TV Series (Lace)

Thanks.

YouTube has both movies. I know I have the book kicking around here somewhere. Time to dust it off & read it again.

Gods, you have my sympathy. I watch "Lace" every year! It's fantastic, I've loved it since I saw it on late night TBS back in the late '80's! Keep trying E-bay and Amazon.com, there are DVD copies out there. If worse comes to worse, check Youtube, they have the mini-series in parts there for you. You will also enjoy "Lace 2" and the books by Shirley Conran are also very good, though quite different from the TV versions. Don't give up!

Warner Archive has Lace (though not Lace 2) available as a DVD-R print-on-demand. You can find it here: http://shop.warnerarchive.com/product/lace+1984tv+1000179942.do
