Hmm...John lennon's "Imagine" wasn't really a romantic song. It was written as a protest against the Vietnam War. But yes, director Roland Joffe did comment that it was a "love" story...though they were not homosexuals or anything

Obviously a perceptive bunch, who have the sensitivity of a water buffalo and the keen insight of a toadstool. If you want a REAL chuckle, rent "The Diary of Anne Frank" or "Schindler's List". Both are LAFF Riots! Nah! Bad idea. Just Stick to "Saw" and "Hostel".

What do you expect if all they do is sit around watching movies in class instead of actually, you know, learning stuff?

Did you ever notice that people who believe in creationism look really un-evolved?

On the "Caligula" board when I another poster and I challenged some of the history of the film, one GENIUS actually asked. "Like, how do YOU know what happened thousands of years ago?" I told him I read it in a comic book! Because, it was obvious that he couldn't buy, steal, or rent a clue!

LOL "Romantic music"

Seriously, I would have given this movie a 10/10 if it weren't for the ending. It was extremely cheesy and "feel-good" and, as much as I love "Imagine", it was a horribly inappropriate choice of song. Other than the ending, I thought it was brilliant- when I thought it couldn't get any better than the Cambodia scenes we are taken to an interlude and quickly plunged into a grim Orwellian reality. Chilling. I was just dissapointed with the ending (and I too watched it in a Social Studies class, by the way).

matus92, I couldn't disagree more, "Imagine" was a perfect choice of song if you ask me. I don't know exactly how much of it was true, but you can't exactly change the ending of a true story... but if you ask me Imagine was perfect, both just by the sound of it, and the content of the song itself.

Obviously, you were a 14-year-old boy in that history class . . . and still are.

You probably should have paid more attention in English class, too.
