Favourite Scene?
I think the most memorable scene is when Nausicaa and that boy are under the forest and Nausicaa is lying in the light and she crying because shes happy...

Here's a bunch of them:
- the scene where Lord Yupa jumps from the gunship onto the top hatch of the Pejite aircraft and starts kicking butt! One of my favourite lines is in that scene: "That's Lord Yupa! Kill him, and you'll be famous!!"
- Any scene where Nausicaa is flying on her mehve glider.
- The scene where Nausicaa kills a roomful of Tolomekian soldiers after they killed her father.
I'll think up of soem more later.
the scene where Nausicaa apologizes crying an ohmu infant at the Acid Lake. so sad and moving.
shareI thought the opening scene where Yupa says "another village has died" really had a punch.
shareI love the opening scene where Yupa goes to the village too, ivangrozny. Especially when he walks into that house that has been taken over by the rotwood and picks up that doll only for it to crumble in his hands. It is really sad and elegiac. The credits over the tapestry that follow it with Joe Hisaishi's sweeping score are impressive as well.
shareThe Ohmu's tentacles slowly raising her body at the end was really moving. As was the image of her walking on all of them.

The whole movies great, let me think, I like the ending but I also like Nausicaa meets Teto, aaaaw I just love Teto, the first time I saw him I went "awww" out loud without even realising...

My favorite scene:
NAUSICAA: Stop! Don't kill anymore!!
NAUSICAA: Stop!!
ASBEL: Hunh!?
(The gunship is hit, and goes down)
My favourite scene is probably the La La La scene (if you know what I mean) when little Nausicaa is in the fields, I find it all so touching!

Well my favorite scene is not really a 'moving' one, but I enjoyed the old guys (previously the hostages)when they attempted to drive the tank.... for some reason it was hard not to laugh at that scene.
"You're not a ninja! You're a guy in a ninja suit!"
yeah! would love that on a sountrack aswell :))

For no reason at all, I liked one of the very first scenes, in which Nausicaa takes the eye shell thing off the Ohmu. The second the spores start falling down while she is hiding underneath the shell, and the music starts playing. I don't know why but its so beautiful :D I love watching it.
shareI love the surreal dream sequence in which Nausicaa tries to conceal/protect a baby Omhu, and it is taken from her.
shareWhen Nausicaa "loses it" after her father's death and kills recklessly-- it has the kind of raw emotion no (western-made) "children's animation" would dare to show.
"I don't go to movies to escape reality: I go to experience life in a raw, intense way"-- S. Copley
When she approaches the flying jar and she has her arms outstretched...that scene, plus the music, just made it so powerful.
