This movie is about up there with nigh-pornographic abundance of robots. There's hardly a scene in the film without robots crowding up the shot. A few don't even appear to serve any purpose at all - like the garbage robot who gets a loving close-up of his functionality though he plays no part in the rest of the film.
It helps that the robots are all fairly creative in design, and of varying levels of skill and competence (and smartly used for comedic effects). One of the funniest nonsequitur moments in the film has to be with the robot family getting creamed in the car chase and the surviving robot's reaction. It actually makes for good sci fi.
Besides this and THE BLACK HOLE, are there any other movies with this many cool robots in it?
Hey, I'm glad that you dig robots in sci fi like I do! Even though this was a campy sci fi flick, I still found it to be very entertaining. Question: Is there a Youtube video (
http://www.youtube.com ) of that "jive-talkin'"
ghettobot (ghetto-acting robot) talking to the "Brother" ? If so, I would like to see it, thank you. (

one thing that I admired about that Wierd Geek "King" on that isolated planet was that at least he had a nice cadre of strong women to protect him from harm. (

What do the rest of y'all have to say about either that ghettobot and/or those Amazons? Point blank, do you think that the "Ghettobot Scene" was stereotypically racist and/or that scene with that wierdo and his Amazons made him out to be a metrosexual "sissy"? Let me know how you all feel as soon as you can, thanks.
