I remember having seen some campy SciFi movie with 3D effects. Is that it?

I was thinking the same thing too, then I realized it was actually Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone (1983)

No 3-D. I saw this back in 1984 with my Dad. The 3-D space movies were either "Spacehunter" (already mentioned), and "Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared Syn". Metalstorm is hard to watch imho.
