environmental message (small spoiler)

The film subtly encapsulates an environmental message regarding man's relationship with nature. I have identified three examples:

1. When the biology teacher called Billy, we can see a Smokey Bear poster with the title "Remember You're Among Friends" on the wall. This artifact, rooted in an advertising campaign from the 1980s, serves as a poignant advocate for forest conservation.

2. Another noteworthy poster observed within the school environment displays the title "Give a Hoot! Don't Pollute," featuring Woodsy Owl—an iconic figure in American environmental consciousness.

3. Lastly, towards the film's ending, the Grandfather, engaged in the sale of Gizmo, imparts a lesson to Billy's family, asserting, "You do with Mogwai what your society... has done with all of nature's gifts. You do not understand." This statement constitutes a clear critique of humanity's relationship with nature.
