Sitting her watching it again after almost 40 years. So many plot holes...lol.

1. Snow is water.
2. Beer and alcohol is mostly water.
3. Bright lights everywhere.
4. Mom was a bad ass. Not a plot hole ... just saying.

The Gremlins weren't really that smart so they probably didn't think of this. Althought with snow, it's hard and frozen water so it doesn't work like regular water. Much easier to just jump into an indoor swimming pool.

In the book, they addressed the fact that frozen water did not cause the Gremlins to reproduce.
