Why is this the lowest rated of the Heisei series?

The Return of Godzilla 5.0
Godzilla versus Biollante 6.1
Godzilla versus King Ghidorah 6.0
Godzilla and Mothra: Battle for the Earth 5.6
Godzilla versus Mechagodzilla II 6.3
Godzilla versus Space Godzilla 5.2
Godzilla versus Destroyer 6.2

For my money, this movie had better film quality than any of the later "Versus" films. Is it because Godzilla didn't fight another monster that it was ranked lower than the rest? Aside from Godzilla versus Mechagodzilla II, this was the only film of the Heisei series that I really liked as a movie.

The reason is that most people are judging this film by the butchered American version.

However, I actually think Godzilla vs Biollante and Godizlla vs Destoroyah WERE better than this one.

"A year where the Best Picture and Best Visual Effects Oscars go to the same movie is a good year!"

Even with the Americanized version, I still think it deserves higher than a 5. I know a lot of people are turned off by the idea of adding US actors to the film, but Raymond Burr did a good if I say so myself. His closing lines were excellent, if nothing else.
