Now on DVD

Original version with English subtitles. I've used the company MANY times and it's an official release, not bootleg or DVD-R.

Check out their other Big G titles as well-

Foreign isn't it? I'd rather get the American one on DVD.

You do realise Godzilla IS foreign anyway ? Unless you're Japanese of course.

And the other point you seem to have missed is that you can't get an 'American one on DVD' because there ISN'T an 'American one on DVD'...that's why I posted the link to this one.

It's by a Chinese company called Universe, they've got a few Big G films on DVD, all original Japanese versions, all with English subtitles and all with excellent sound and picture quality. They also do the best version of 'Godzilla vs. Biollante'.

If you would prefer 'the American version' (the one with Raymond Burr) it can usually be found on DVD-R on eBay. Quality varies, but invariably they're ripped from VHS.

I meant the original Japanese version. I'd rather have the American one with Raymond Burr come to DVD. Lots of people too.

I prefer the Japanese version, but they should do what they did with the '54 original...a box set comprising of the Japanese AND American versions.

In fact, I wish they'd do that with ALL of the films.

Sony Classic Media have done that with Gojira / Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla Raids Again, Mothra vs. Godzilla, Ghidorah, The Three-Headed Monster, Invasion of Astro Monster and Terror of Mechagodzilla so far...I hope there's more box sets to come.
