Do you personally count this as Godzilla being defeated. I'm not sure myself. They send him into the volcano, but they only really postpone him for four years till his return in Biollante. So, is he defeated or not in your opinion.

yea i'd say its one of two times the big G was beaten. this and the original

Agreed. Actually one of 3 times if you count GMK. I don't count Destroyah because Godzilla was already dying and technically wasn't defeated.

It was only 4 years in real time. In the movie it was more like 4 days.
