Are they different versions, or what are the differences?

I suppose 77 = Italian dub? and 85 = English?

77 is an Italian Dub of the original 1954 film and the 1956 American version. Godzilla 1985 is the American version of Gojira 1984, which serves as sequel to the original film from 1954/1956.
