Chuck Cranston must be like Eddie Haskel

Chuck must be a real sweetheart when around Ariel's religious parents, because they seem fine with her dating him. He's also older than her, clearly out of high school for a bit. They definitely know about Chuck because the Reverend catches Ariel with him at the drive-in during the opening act.

Contrast that with Ren, who the Reverend hates with a passion. But Ren is Ariel's age, trying to be involved with school activities, and is seemingly a good student. His only crime being an out of towner who listens to the wrong music, and listens to it too loud.

This is why I'm saying Chuck is probably a complete fake when he's around her parents, just like Eddie Haskel was.
