I doubt it's really Rusty. Any clue to a last name?

You never find out her real name or last name I think she is nicknamed that because of her hair color

i had a friend called regina, and yes she had long red hair so she was nicknamed rusty.

I thought Rusty's (SJP) hair was dark brown.

I grew up with girls named Dusty and Randy so Rusty could definitely be her given name... I never really considered it a nickname
