They knew how to have fun
How come kids now and days can't seen to have good wholesome fun like the kids in this movie?
I like cats named nightmare. I have a "nightmare" every night!
I don't want my teenaged kids playing "chicken" with tractors. I don;t want them drinking beer in abandoned warehouses right before anger-dancing. I don;t want them having sex and wearing particular clothing just to piss off their daddy. I don;t want them straddling the doors of two moving vehicles down the highway. I don't want them going into honkytonks, engaged in iunderaged drinking and getting into brawls.
Good wholesome fun? Sounds to me that they were engaged in dangerous, high-risk behaviors.

it's better than what a lot of them do now and days.... posting naked pics of themselves on the internet, killing their parents, taking guns to school...

I assume you're refering to all the good, clean fun, like dancing, learning to dance, talking, decorating parties, talking at lunch, driving out of town to party, etc.
Yes, it would be nice if there was more real fun like that and less sitting around and getting intoxicated.
