i live in the town where this movie was filmed

Lehi, Utah. I've lived here my entire life. The flour mill where Kevin Bacons character works at is RIGHT next to my High School, you can see my school in the background at one point. haha. I thought that was a little interesting fact I'd share with yall =) lol. I LOVE this movie, I wanna go buy it now!

I take it you have never seen Predators or Attack of the Killer Tomatos

Who cares about stairs? The main thing is ice cream.

Or Harley Davidson and Marlboro Man.

Or Tango and Cash.

Awesome, your towns looked very picturesque.

Kind of an ideal suburban setting to me.

I love the feel of all the locations in that time and place.

reply

If it's so dumb, why are you wasting your time commenting on it...? LOL It must not be quite as dumb as you profess... ;-)

The flour mill scene was the only one shot in Lehi. The rest of the movie was filmed in Payson, my hometown, which rocks way harder than Lehi does. I went to the high school where they shot the school scenes and my Grandpa's house is in it.

Go Payson!

Why would anyone want to kill the cook? Dinner wasn't that bad.

The scene where John Lithgow rudely turns off the kids' radio at that burger joint was shot at the old Hi-Spot in Provo, which is no longer there, but I remember going there often as a kid.

reply

That's cool. I live in Pittsburgh now so there are lots of movies filmed where I live (the Soldiers and Sailors building, where Silence of the Lambs among others had some scenes filmed, is right down the road).

There may be honor among thieves, but there's NONE in politicians!

are you allowed to dance??

reply

No matter. They included alot of snow capped high mountinas in the background and Illinois has nothing like that.

This thread is filled with nerds. Lol, yes me included.

i'm traveling to Lehi and Provo in March for work. I need a local to tell me where to find the mill, the Hi-Spot, and the high school. want to take some pics. Maybe i'll rent a tractor at the airport and take in a town council meeting while i'm there. /nerd.

Kimberly,

Too bad you weren't around when this movie was made. I was.

I even remember when the production crew was filming around Utah County. One day I was lucky enough to see the crew filming the Chris Penn "learning to dance" sequence. And I ran into Kevin Bacon at one of the restaurants in American Fork.

I was young at the time (7 years old) but I remember it clearly.

Too bad you were still many years away from even taking your first breath.
