Andy Beamis

It seems like Andy Beamis is an outsider as well, to some extent. No one gives him real trouble in the movie, but he has a deep understanding of what it means to be an outsider. It feels like there's more to the story than some of his property is outside town limits. He has no control over where town lines are drawn. For all we know, when he bought the land, it was all in Bomont, and then the property lines changed, due to redistricting or something. My question is, why does Andy Beamis have outsider status/a very clear understanding of it what it means to be an outsider in Bomont?

I always figured it was just the way Andy was... never really thought there was a big secret behind his way of thinking. Some people are able to transcend the common way of thinking where they live. He didn't seem like an outsider at all to me, just more open minded than the average local. He attended church along with everyone else, and Shaw and Vi seemed pretty warm toward him when they encountered him at the end.
