Who were really the "intolerant" ones here?


The people in the town were happy living the way they were living, even if it was a strict, theocratic Christian life. Ren could go live somewhere else if they were being so "oppressive." It's not like the townspeople were going to chicago and shoving christianity down their throats. Why not just let people live the way they want to? If you don't like, it then move.

Well, because more than half the town disagreed with the law... he only became their voice. He convinced no one that dancing was good, they were already in agreement and needed a fresh face to initiate the change....
