Does the movie get better in the last hour?

When I saw the description of the movie, it seemed like my kinda movie. I watched the first hour and 15 minutes of the movie and I was so bored and disinterested I had to turn it off. Nothing about this story and the way they portrayed it held my interest. Does it get better in the last hour of the movie?

I don´t remember any of the killings, rape etc. are you sure you are talking abou the same movie?
