Organizational culture of CIA (according to this movie)

I liked how the CIA work was depicted in this movie. Remember how Boyce went to his new CIA job for the first time; the place was behind closed doors accessible only with secret codes. But as he got in, he found two nutcases, having fun with their top secret job. I find it very realistic. No, I don't work in CIA or any such place, but I believe this is how things are done in CIA or any organization. People have to feel good at their job and that involves having fun about it, even if the work is related to national security. Of course, you cannot poke fun in front of everybody, you can only do it with your closest colleagues whom you really trust. The Russian agents were depicted as very serious and strict, but I'm sure they also had their share of fun, when by themselves. The same goes for the guy who inspected the Boyce division.

This is one of the details I liked in this movie.

The work is probably extremely tedious. Just reading reports, most of them of no consequence. It's not surprising that people try to find ways to cut loose to keep from going insane.
