Why didn't Lynch or someone slap Brad Dourif and make him pronounce it correctly? Or at least loop it in post-production?

Seriously, though, who knows? That is a good question, and that line bothers me, too. It's so awkward. Even if he had pronounced it correctly, his delivery warranted another take.

So many of the pronunciations are entirely off in this film, I don't even care that he got that wrong. It seemed to fit actually.

The only person who seemed to have any idea on the pronunciations was Everett McGill. His were spot-on all across the board.
