hi there guys i was hoping u could help im trying desperately to find a copy of this film on dvd as a present for a friend but from waht ive read its not been released any suggestions for video trasnfer or would anyone happen to have a copy they could rip for me ? (my friend has the original vhs)

I wanted/needed the same thing.
I remembered this movie (had seen it years ago) & searched desperately for it-for months, until finally 1 Blockbuster had a copy. I rented it & copied it. I mean, I called over 30 video stores, looking for a copy. I searched high & low for this film. Now I have my VHS taped copy. I wish they would release a DVD of it. I even thought of contacting Jane Fonda (via website?) & begging her to get it released (stupid thought, I know). But I guess we'll just have to wait it out. Hope you find some way to get your DVD copy. Good luck.

If you have a VHS versionj of the dollmaker it is relatively easy to get it onto dvd.
I have 3 machines capable of this operation if you feel it will be assistance to you?
I will be more than happy to convert it for you as I also have a lady friend who has asked me about a DVD version but she has not got a tape, whereas you have.
I will copy to DVD if of help, with the only request being to copy the dvd for my friend.

I saw it many years ago in South Africa (on TV) and it really touched me. Now I would love to show it to my mom, but I can not find it anywhere. I do not own a VHS tape player.

I ordered my copy from OnlyClassicMovies.com and it took less then a week to arrive. I paid a little of $14 for it and that included shipping. Its a little fuzzy but I am well satisfied. So much so that I just placed an order for a copy of The Dark At The Top Of The Stairs (1960).

I did as suggested on another post and went to www.onlyclassicmovies.com. Sure enough there it was. The price is a bit steep, $38.00. Never ordered from them before but since I want the DVD bad enough, guess I'll take a 'leap of faith' and order it. I'll let ya'll know how it works out. Wish me luck!

I'm not that fond of Fonda but I remember this movie and would love to have it on disc.
