I can't imagine a film with a more high-octane and unexpected ending than this!

I agree. The final fight scene is worth the price of the whole movie. Dude just went cannabalistic!

One thing great about it is, the rest of the movie sets you up for it to be totally unexpected. Everything you've seen 'til that point has been kind of goofy, comedic kung fu, and then suddenly it switches gears into tragedy, insanity, and grimness. The contrast to the rest of the film packs a real shock into it.
