Ken Russell is one of my favorite directors. I absolutely love this film!

When it came out in the 80s, it was extremely controversial. I was an innocent 16 year old and watched it just to see what all the hype was about. I was never the same again.

A very convincing Tony Perkins plays the psycho Reverend Peter Shane who stalks China Blue, a prostitute who leads a double life (fashion designer by day, whore by night). China Blue is played by a sizzling Kathleen Turner back in her hey day. The story twists and turns but this film is well worth watching for it's entertainment value. I tried turning on some friends to it and they were offended but some loved me for it!
