Isn't There Two Versions Of This Movie?

I remember seeing this movie on cable and at the movies. There appear to be two versions. One with more profanity. I remember the *beep* cursing more. At one point he says, "I have been hit, with sh.t!" However I don't see it in the down-loadable subtitles or in the one they ran on cable last month. I do remember watching the more profane one on cable. Anyone know what's up with this? This movie is one of my guilty pleasures. I know it's pretty lame but it's still funny.

you think they'd make two versions of this movie? They barely have an audience for one version haha

well this is an old post, but I came across it, and will reply. hopefully the original poster see's it :)

you didn't see a different version, TV usually cuts scenes out to shorten the film so it doesn't run to long, cutting into other shows. also cussing would be bleeped on some stations.

If you watch the trailer on the DVD, there's a few scenes which never made the final movie.

However these probably remain unreleased.

Yea it's an old post and this response to you is even older! I remember seeing this on HBO or some other cable movie channel. One version had more cursing in it than the other. I remember one scene where The Evil *beep* was hit in the face with something and he said, "I have been hit! With Sh-t!" Then I saw a version where that scene was cut out. There are other scenes that I can't rememebr now. But I guess I'll rent the DVD to see what version that is.

now that I have DirecTV, I notice they beep out profanity. On the premium channels (HBO,Cinemax, Showtime) they do not. I read that the movie people make different versions of their films for airing on network tv and also to be shown on airlines.

Maybe the OP was thinking about the very simular movie, "Start the Revolution Without Me" starring Gene Wilder and Donald Sutherland as the Corsican Brothers.

Actually, the OP is correct, there is technically two versions. I remember seeing the more mature version on HBO many years ago, and it was clearly rated R compared to the version that is out now. A lot more cursing, and the ending was a lot longer.
