Matrix connection`

Did anyone else think of Agents from The Matrix when the two Men in Black (Uno and Dos?) left the social services office, mechanically looked around a bit, and then put on their sunglasses simultaneously? Something in there made me think of agent Smith et al.

yeah, they made that metallic screeching noise and were good at fighting as well, which immediately made me think of Smith and company... but weren't the agents in the Matrix more or less modeled after MIB anyway, or at least they all looked and acted alike representing the soulessness of the system...

The idea of mysterious "Men in Black" did not begin with the matrix or the movie with Will Smith. Tales of mysterious "men in black" go back to ancient times. It is probably what Carl Jung would call an archetype. There is much folklore about mysterious, dark garbed men, often in pairs searching for someone.

I know, I wasn't necessarily referencing the movie MIB, as a studier of all things weird I know a lot about the sightings regarding the MIB, how they always seem out of place, human and yet not human and usually show up in regards to aliens or government cover-ups...

Not sure if they're an archetype, I guess the "soulless drone of the system" is a sort of archetype though, we see it all over in films, where the lack of any identity marks the collectivism usually of the bad guys...

Definitely an item the Wachowski brothers borrowed.
