He's a jailbird and career criminal, stealing whatever he can get away with.
His friend Jenny is kind enough to get him a job and how does he repay her? He steals from the company, does a runner and puts her life in danger.
I'm sure it's very honourable of Axel to go rogue, shooting up the good folk of Beverly Hills, but it wasn't really necessary was it.
I agree about Mikey. He was a POS who had it coming.
As far as Victor and crew, they also had it coming. They would kill anyone who discovered their drug running plan, including Jenny.
you make a good point about mikey. i have thought about his too, that axel's honorable quest was actually to defend a pos.
funny though, it's pretty seamless how they paint it in the movie in such a way as to 'bait' you into viewing it from a sympathetic context. masterful writing and directing, i guess
