Wow. Can there be any thriller with a less momentous ending? The hero doesn't get the girl, doesn't stop the big bad development, but hey, at least he gets a new contract with the Miami Dolphins. And who knows? Maybe in a couple of years he'll be able to start dating Rachel Ward again. Hey, a guy's gotta dream...
shareI agree with britwrit. When I first saw this in the 80s & I was in my 20s I thought it was OK but after watching it last night it was painful. Especially since my boyfriend sat there and groaned the whole time. Why did the female lead have an accent? Did I miss something? Well I see she hasn't done much since. I was hoping they would all just shoot each other and end it all after an hour and 15 minutes.

Rachel Ward is from England yes, and FILMFAN said it right this was mentioned in the movie, she doesn't work much as a few years ago gave up movies to raise a family herself and not leave it to the nanny as so many actresses do nowadays, but thats their choice afterall.
I think it is a really great movie, excellent title song by Phil Collins and amazing locations, I went to Mexico and went to a few of them and they still are spectacular if you can look over all the tourists though!
I remember when I first saw this movie it instantly made me want to go to Mexico. I got there years later and the locations are stunning as blackieceuk said. Standing in the ballcourt in Chichen Itza was amazing. Great the way movies can influence wonderful experiences!
