What exactly happened to Kirsch?

It was explained Kirsch (the attorney who represented Mr. Caxton) was killed, but how was he killed & by whom? The film's storyline does not make this clear. I also don't understand why Kirsch was killed; we don't see him killed on camera, either. "Against All Odds" is a great movie, though!

He was killed by Wise's men, who left his body in the office to frame Brogan with. That's why they were searching the building for Kirsch's body when Brogan came back with Edie. They murdered him to frame Brogan - and also because Kirsch cheated Jake on a bet where he conspired with Sully to shave points on a game.
