When I was at Chichén Itzá, there were many more tourists.
Didn't realize you could make out in the Mayan Ruins.
Ahhhh, Hollywood!

You can when a film crew ropes off the area lol.
So did you visit a lot of scenes where the film was shot?
Did you go snorkeling, love that short scene in the film, the fish were beautiful.
Always wanted to go there, Taylor Hackford said on the dvd commentary that Against All Odds was the first film ever filmed there.
How are the hotels and food, is it expensive? I'm sure you didn't drink the water lol
Funny you asked. Stayed in Cancun and it is a 3 hour trip into the jungle by bus to these Mayan ruins.
Well, two days after we made the trip, the girl I was dating at the time asked some people back at the hotel at breakfast "why all the buzz" at their table.
It seemed the day after we went, bandits held up the Chichén Itzá bus and robbed all the tourists.
We were deciding which day to travel there up to the last minute; could have been us on that next day's bus.
Thanks for getting back to me, that sucks that people got robbed, I guess that trip is now off for me, plus a three hour bus ride to get to the ruins with a chance of being robbed by Mexican bandits is a really bad play for me, even if I got to the ruins in one piece the anxiety of the situation wouldn't be worth it lol I guess am just going to have to settle for the dvd experience and the travel channel from my living room.

Yes, a great movie. Can I get Brad Pitt to play me? you know, the guy who stayed back at the hotel.
"It's the system, Lara. People will be different after the Revolution."
