Life Aquatic ending a homage..?

I read somewhere that the ending of Life Aquatic where we see all the cast walking to the boat, is actually a homage to the ending "march" in BB.Any one know if this is true?

I think Jeff Goldbloom ( who was in both movies) even does the same little 'skip' in Life Aquatic as he did in BB, when they are all walking.

Even "dead" cast members make an appearance at the end of both films.

When I saw 'Life Aquatic...' I was STUNNED with disbelief by the obvious BB lift in the closing credits, but convinced myself that it was just a shared lift from a snootier/better film that BB ripped off, too. However, Wes and his co-writer fessed up to the inexplicable homage (actually, they admitted it was pretty much a total lift)! They say it was not only a way to pay tribute to a silly flick they truly love, but also a way to bring together all the main players in a happy ending after some pretty bleak stuff going down in the rest of the story (hence Ned in the closing shot, in spite of his death). Just another reason for me to love the Wes!
