Not that I didn't dig Buckaroo-- he was swell-- but I'm with you: Perfect Tommy was the best. Not every guy could rock that white-blond Billy Idol hair of the 80s but a select few (Perfect Tommy being one of this elite class)reeeally worked it.
sharePerfect Tommy~First and foremost, I am a Lewis Smith fan, and Perfect Tommy is~um~perfect! He's such a cutie! Not every guy can look just as great with platinum blonde tresses and his usual raven, as in "The Heavenly Kid" and "North & South: Books 1 & 2". I think I have a fair share of his roles in my videotape collection, including the pilots for "The Man Who Fell to Earth" and "Badlands 2005".
Peter Weller's Buckaroo Banzai is very close. During Hands Across America, a friend of a friend of mine was assigned to be next to him in line and spoke to him about "Adventures". He said that he was ready for a sequel any time! Sadly, that didn't come to pass. If someone wanted to try, perhaps it could be Buckaroo's son, with Peter Weller and Ellen Barkin making appearances. It might be interesting to see who else could be recruited from the old bunch.

I must say that I was honored to meet "Silver Fox" at a sci fi convention, where he was appearing to promote some new 20th Century Fox films: "Aliens", "The Fly" and "Big Trouble in Little China"! I was wearing a large red-and-yellow Banzai Institute button, and everyone kept stopping me to ask if I was Silver Fox! Being a 5'1" redhead, I never understood the misperception.
