The Radar Rangers

I asked this question a while back and no one seemed to know...

A few years ago we named our not-just-for-kids "family music" band The Radar Rangers after my old Radar Range microwave oven. I did a search to make sure the name wasn't currently in use and only found one reference to a band back in the early 70s. The search also turned up a Wikipedia link to Buckaroo Banzai, claiming that the RR were affiliated with Team Banzai. I got the movie & enjoyed it several times, got the book and read it through and still saw no mention of The Radar Rangers. Anybody know?
