Would work better as a TV show or series of books

The movie has a good starting point. I was interested in the setting and what the lead character's science experiment was about. But afterwards the movie became more and more convoluted without much payoff. Characters are also never developed as much as I wanted them to be; I can't remeber most of the team's names, Buckaroo's surgeon skills is only shown for plot convience, and what about Penny possibly being the twin sister of Buckaroo's ex-wife. That's just kinda dropped. There were some interesting ideas in the movie though, like the Orson Welles alien broadcast actually being true, but the movie as s whole fell flat.

They should have made a TV show like they planned. There would have been more room to explore this universe the movie set up, instead of rushing through it, picking up the minor details.

Just my two cents. I gave it 6/10
