The filmmaker's commentary

A bit of a disappointment, how they ramble on about Buckaroo and how he did this and that. I know it's a tongue-in-cheek presentation in the documentary and the commentary about pretending that Buckaroo is real, but does anyone know of an easter egg real / downloable real commentary for this film?

They do manage to discuss the production a little bit but they get a bit caught up in the pretending most of the time.

Thanks!

You make a valid point, mike. All the features are treated in the same way: as though we lived in a world blessed with a real Buckaroo. Sadly, I don't think there is any 'serious'/real-world commentary out there...but then you might invest in a Nuon DVD player and find it there!

I didn't know about the Nuon format, so I went to Wikipedia. Interesting.

There are those who think it might be a joke, but I don't really believe they'd've licensed the logo for the DVD case just to amuse themselves...but I guess the Nuon snobs don't care about this flick to inform us of the features!

" they ramble on about Buckaroo and how he did this and that."

That was really REALLY irritating! As a movie buff, I like to know how films are made and what the director and actors were trying to accomplish. They should've just put the original doc from 1984 on the DVD instead.

This is the type of thing that should've been on the DVD.

I agree. I actually had the DVD for years and always meant to watch it with the commentary on but never got around to it. When I finally did just last year, I was really disappointed at how worthless it is. I'm sure there are so many things to talk about that one commentary track wouldn't be enough, but we got nothin'.
