Does anyone know what KJ's vision of the Final Battle Climax was?
I know his influence is mostly seen in Part 1, I know he left due to creative and budget issues but I would love to know what he would have done if he remained onboard.
Check out V the Second Generation book. It was written by Kenneth Johnson and picks up after V the original miniseries. The book totally ignores the V the Final battle.
shareI have been a longtime fan of the original miniseries...BOTH parts. I bought Kenneth Johnson's 2nd Generation due to my love of the miniseries and read it knowing that Final Battle was ignored (not entirely thrilled by that but could accept it and move on to enjoy a story for what it is)
I have to say that while I did enjoy the novel for what it was I was not exactly thrilled with it as a conclusion to V. There were a lot of things that bugged me, especially in light of the fact that Final Battle was ignored (too many character missing without an adequate explanation), I wasnn't impressed by the new aliens, and the change in the leader's gender downright bugged me along with the fact of all the alien hybrids out there. That didn't seem fitting with how the visitors were so secretive about their true natures.
I much prefer V the Final Battle as a conclusion to the series rather than the Second Generation.
