Was Julie converted or not?

Was Julie actually converted by Diana? There are arguments that would support both.

A. She was converted. She was seen giving in to Diana during the last conversion scene. She was found using her left hand on several occasions. Diana had that telepathy link with her at the end.

B. She wasn't converted. Diana states she is almost converted in her meeting with Pamela and Julie is rescued before she is put through another session. If she was converted, why not release her after the rescue attempt in the chamber (unless it was considered a setback).

I think it was kept vague for people to wonder if she was or wasn't. What are your thoughts?

She wasn't fully converted. If she was, she would have sabotaged the plans to use the Red Dust. Better yet, she would have tampered with the discovery of it.

Juliet was close to being converted, but was able to eventually come back to who she was. Like a car crash victim who ALMOST loses use of the legs. It takes a while to get back to where they were, but for the time being it seems they are restricted to sitting in the chair and wiggling their toes.

I love nightmares. They are like your own personal horror movies
