There are only white and black people in L.A.

This is not to make this a racial thing, and was actually quite common in TV shows of the '80s, but I love how all the characters are either black or white. And there's one Latino guy in the Resistance. LA has a huge Latino population, and I'm pretty sure there are a few Asian-Americans as well.

Actually I like that the original at least had one Latino. And had an Asian American in the original, Tony. The new one takes place in NYC one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world and there is only Black couple in the whole series and everyone else is White. If anything the new V is a huge step down from the original series.

This is just my opinion.

Actually, LA county was majority white until the early 1980s. Compton was even still 50% white until the late 70s. The illegal immigrant invasion of LA county did kick in full swing and turn LA into the present day third world country it is today sometime around the early 80s.

I noticed this too, but noticed this with TV about 15 years ago. I saw either a diaper or toy commercial and I noticed there was one person of every race in it. White, Black, Oriental, Latino/Spanish, Indian, Middle Eastern. I noticed this with EVERY SINGLE commercial that had more than a few people in it. I'm sure it was happening before that but I just didn't notice it.

I'm not being racial either, I guess it was just that the USA was mostly white, so that's just who was cast in tv/movies. I don't mind at all, I think it's good more people of different races are in the media, after all that's what America is about!
