I never saw the start of the episode when Julie gets kidnapped and Diana is trying to covert her. Since i never saw the start how did Julie get kidnapped and was she converted? I remember one episode where one of the guys said, "She thinks like a lizard".

julie got captured at the end of v the final battle part 1,after she ripped johns face off on tv.
she was converted! however she was rescued by mike befor dianna could finish the conversion process!
of course all the other had no way of knowing if she was fully converted or not! i think it was Ham who said she thinks like a snake?
After unmasking John at the benefit, she and Brad attempted to escape, but a Visitor patrol shot the tires out from under their van and they crashed (according to the novelization, Daniel brags to Maggie that he was the one who did it). Brad was killed in the crash and Julie was captured.
Julie was converted. The attempted rescue attempt was actually an assasination attempt by a Fifth Columnist disguised as Donovan. In the novelization, it turned out to be a severe setback, because Diana was actually using an imagined rape by Donovan as a catalyst for her conversion, and his death made Julie realize what was going on. But eventually it did happen, although I think that there never really was a complete breakthrough in the novelization; it went from the assasination attempt to the prisoner exchange where they got her back.
As for how Ham Tyler knew she was converted...he didn't. He naturally assumed she would be. But it wouldn't be hard to see--it's all in the hands. Remember that Julie switched hands to brush her hair in one scene without even realizing it until too late; certainly that couldn't have been the first time it happened since her return.

Actually the visitor security tried to stop the van by shooting it, but it was Daniel who landed the kill shot, shooting Brad through the windshield and thus causing the van to go out of control and crash. They simply opened the door and wrenched Julie out and held her at gun point, until Diana came and added her two cents.
It wasn't Brad, it was Fred.
shareDaniel shot Fred in the face though the windshield causing him to crash the van into parked cars on the street, right B4 they yanked out Julie, she says oh my god seeing Fred's burned face. Then Julie makes that commet to Daniel about seeling out humans to a bunch of night crawlers.
shareDuring the medical center invasion, when they show on TV what John really looks like, she tries to escape with Fred in a van. Daniel shoots out the tires in the van, which causes it to crash and kill Fred. Daniel runs over to the van, points his gun and Julie and gets her out. Diana and Steven come over and take her away to the mothership. Why don't you just watch the first episode to see what happens instead of asking us to fill in the blanks?
