Another question about the "NEW" version of V

Can someone clarify?

In the "new" V at the start did they say all the Earth's terrorists suddenly stopped being terrorists the moment the aliens arrived?

I got the impression from that episode that the terrorists on Earth for all these years were working for the aliens and that is why they caused trouble.

But when their masters returned they stopped doing whatever it is they were doing..

Why would you employ humans to do that for so many years and then they stop when you arrive?

If any terrorists on Earth were working for the visitors, they would have been visitors themselves. The visitors had been infiltrating Earth's societies for years before the spaceships arrived, planting their own people in positions of power (politics, business, etc.). Ryan, for example, had already been on Earth for years, as had Erica's FBI partner.
