Ruby's Body

How were they able to retrieve Ruby's body from Visitor's headquarters in order to bury her?

One scene has her shot dead by Daniel and left on the floor (everybody has already left the area), the next has everybody standing by her grave. How did they get her back?

reply

Perhaps, someone from the Fifth Column retrieved Ruby's body after Daniel killed her.

As so often happens in wars, they had a burial without a body.
A far more interesting question to me is, how did they know she was dead and not taken captive? There was no one there except Daniel and Ruby, and neither one of them is talking. Why does the priest go on about her bravery and her sacrifice? *We* know all about it, but how do they?

Burial without a body.

Besides, it's a TV show. Visitors don't really exist :)

In the novelization, it was mentioned that Daniel had bragged about it to Maggie. I'm sure they found out eventually what had happened.

I'm sure Martin got word of what happened when Daniel reported what happened.

When I was a kid we didnt have mirrors. We hung midgets on a wall who said YA LOOK FINE!

I'm just p!ssed she had to die! Who doesn't love a little old lady who can break out with an M-16 and kick some lizard ass??

They didn't bury her body. It was a memorial burial, where they put up a cross in honor of her being killed. Now she was in heaven with Abraham Bernstein.

Probably an oversight, or a scene was planned but cut for time or other reasons.

Or they did a funeral in effigy or symbolism, since they knew going back to enemy territory would be a very stupid thing to do.

The 5th Column was still too chicken to find and deliver dead rebels to the base that Donovan didn't even let Martin know about (they always met in neutral places until after Diana captured and injected him with truth-telling serum, twice the dose because Donovan decided to lie about his hair color and ensure another dose so he'd spill the beans...)
