Episode order of the series?

On the DVD, it has "Breakout" as episode 3, but the events in "Breakout" don't follow what happened in episode 2, "Dreadnought". I was watching "Breakout" and feeling lost, until I went to TV.com and found out that "The Deception" which was listed as episode 4 on the DVD is actually episode 3 and that "Breakout" was actually the finale (Thank goodness I didn't finish watching it because I want to see what happens).

Why is the DVD set like this? Is "Breakout" the finale? Plus the airdate on "Breakout" was long after "Dreadnought", while "The Deception" was right after "Dreadnought".

I wasn't alive when this was shown on TV so I wasn't sure of the episode order.

i think the story was that BREAKOUT was meant to be episode 3 of the TV series but the content was considered too violent so it was never released...then they decided to release it at a later date & of course it confused everyone. i am sure someone will give you a more accurate explanation.

anyway it is best to ignore BREAKOUT altogether if u are looking for continuity & proceed straight to THE DECEPTION.

All told there are 19 episodes in the TV series (& that includes BREAKOUT).

nass-k is correct, thats what happened.

i've just gone through the first 14 episodes myself and i gotta admit, i didnt feel like the episode was out of place or anything. i noticed the date before watching any so i came online and discovered the story behind it. but had i not known or seen the date, i woulda never guessed anything was off or whatnot. i'm guessing they placed it 3rd on the collection because that was its original place, where it would have been had it aired properly.

so no its not the finale. the final episode is indeed the 19th one on the collection dealing with the whole Elizabeth cliffhanger.

I just watched this episode tonight and I have to say...It confused the hell out of me as well. I couldn't figure out why they didn't know Kyle when he was in the episode before that helping them. Also, Ham had been in the resteraunt but acted like it was his first time in at the end of the episode. I thought something was out of order and came here to check. Glad it wasn't just me going crazy. I was only eight years old when this originally aired so my memory of it is fuzzy at best...thank goodness for Netflix!
