I love the mini series and the show.. i watch the dvd all the time and i can't figure out what happened to the romance between the mini series and the show??? why did he just hug her at the series finally and not ravesh her??? i thought they were in love??? please explain?

I think that the script writers gave up on their romance preferring to concentrate on Elizabeth & Kyle. By the end both of them became minor characters which was a massive shame.
