Cybertron was once primus so is it possible that the planet could transform into a robot mode?

Even in the G1 cartoon where Cybertron wasn't Primus, Unicron wanted to use Cybertron as his new body so that would imply that it could be transformed.
It's a shame Unicron didn't know about The Key to Vector Sigma. With it's power he could convert a regular planet into a metallic one and plug his head into it that one to make his new body. Oh well, I guess it would make for good fan fiction.
