Sentinel Prime alive dueing War Dawn?
Was Sentinel Prime killed just before War Dawn or some time after? How long was Megatron Decepticon leader before the events of War Dawn?
shareWhen Megatron took control of the decepticons he killed Sentinel Prime. Alph Trion hid the matrix until the next autobot leader would arise. When Orion Pax was practically destroyed by Megatron it is fairly obvious that in order to save him Alpha Trion gave him the Matrix. How do I know this? Well, when Megatron blasts prime with his fusion cannon the blasts simply bounce off of him much in the same manner that Galvatrons Laser blasts bounced off of Rodimus Prime when he first claimed the matrix. Ask yourself this are there any other instances of Megatrons Fusion cannon/Galvatrons Laser Cannon just bouncing off of targets that they hit? NO-there aren't! As for how long was Megatron leader, how long was Sentinel Prime dead and how long did Alpha Trion possess the matrix... who knows...

Thanks for your insight I think you are correct about the Matrix protecting both Optimus Prime & Rodimus Prime when they both first got the Matrix.
shareSo, Megatron/Galvatron was the cause of the last two Primes in the G1 universe. Athough, I am not 100% convinced that Galvatron and Megatron are the same person. I think Galvatron is actually a genetically altered clone of Megatron. The reason I believe that is due to his line in the movie "I Galvatron will crush you just as Megatron crushed Optimus Prime." Now, that could have been him talking in third person, but I don't think that it was. I think that Galvatron had all or at least most of Megatrons memories, but I really don't think that they were the same person. Which also leads me to believe that Cyclonus and Scourge were clones too. Sure they had some of the traits of who they were before, but I am 100% sure that they weren't Thundercracker, Skywarp, Bombshell,Shrapnel or Kickback. Unicron may have used the insecticons clone making ability to make the Sweeps, Armada, Cyclonus, Scourge and yes, Galvatron. As for what happened to their laser cores (sparks) who knows. But I stand by my belief that none of those cons were the same as their original incarnations. Also, it would make it possible for them to come back if their were ever a continuation to Rebirth (we can all wish). Galvatron, Scourge and Cyclonus were just too cool to disgard as were Megatron, Skywarp, Thundercracker and the Insecticons. Imagine a cartoon where Galvatron and Megatron exist and lead rival factions of Decepticons against not only the Autobots, but eachother. Then throw Scorponok and his cons into the mix and you have a truly epic premise for a TV show. Unfortunatley, Hasblow is too busy making kiddie Transformers show and Bayformers spin off garbage to care about making a quality show.

According to the original Transformers comic book there is a C.N.A. (Cybertronic Nucleic Acid) code in all Transformers. So, my logic may not be that far off... Think about it. Did Galvatron (even before Unicron tortured him and made him insane) ever act like Megatron?
