Had G1 Megatron woken up from his stasis lock when Beast Wars Megatron and his fellow Predacons went in the Ark would he have joined forces with them or attacked them out of a possible disgust at their smaller and less powerful forms which to him would be a sign that the decendants of the Decpticons had become a joke in his eyes?
So it's treason then!
He might had to some degree... But to be honest, I think he would be more of a rival than an ally to the BW Megatron, not because of him being xenophobic towards him and his fellow Predacons but perhaps G1 Megatron would try to achieve his own personal goals and ambitions were he left off which might conflict and horn in with BW Megatron's own.
Let's not forget that before the Ark's crash, G1 Megatron was after large quantities of energon to restore his Cybertron for his grand vision of ruling the universe, so there is a huge possibility that he might consider the Predacon's concerns minutiae.
I think G1 megatron would have sussed BW megatron to learn more about earth at that time and the energon as well as the maximals and future tech. But in the end, lol G1 megatron will have to Prevail. He allies with no one for long.
