Pretender Starscream had season 4 been longer?

Had season 4 had more than 3 episodes would we have seen Starscream become a Pretender?

When we last saw him Unicron had given him a new body to live in so I personly would have loved seeiing the cartoons take on the Pretenders storyline.

Plus the Power Masters,Duocons and possibly the introduction of Nucleon being used by the Decepticons and Autobots thus turning them into Action Masters had there been at least 20 or so episodes to season 4.

I disliked the Pretenders idea, it was all a bit complicated.

There were a few good things that came from the Pretender storyline well from the comics anyway such as the Decepticon Bludgeon who's pretender shell was a skeleton in a samurai uniform.He was a pretty cool and hardcore character who could hold his own against the more powerful transformets.

I actually liked the Pretenders if for only they were bookended into season 4's handful of episodes.

I'm not sure I'd have kept watching, it wasn't what grew on me in the first place.

Flywheels is seen in the opening credits. So, I have to assume that he was planned to be featured.

Flywheels was really cool in the old Marvel comics.It would have been great to see the duocons appear in season 4 had it continued on for 20 or so more episode after The Rebirth.

Although they did pop up in the Takara Headmasters series.It's a shame that that series didn't use Starscream but then again if they had it wouldn't have been the great Chris Latta doing his voice but instead one of the dire voice actors they used to dub the series.

I have the old toys for Flywheels and Battletrap, though I know nothing about their personalities. Have you by chance seen the digibashes of Generations Blitzwing and Springer into them? They look really good.

I am not a fan of the Pretenders. I only really liked the characters from seasons 1 & 2. I grew up with those. In any case I don't think the series would have fared well with the Pretenders line, the non-transforming lacking action Action Masters, and the Midget Masters take over.

I think it's those latter two toy lines (Action Masters and Micro Masters) were the ones that killed the toy franchise in the US.

The thing with the Pretenders that I never liked was, it was supposed to be a disguise.

As if anyone was going to go, "That's not a Transformer, that's a human. A 40 foot tall human. WTF?"

I do like certain Pretenders from the Marvel Comics, though, where the shell was more about power than disguise, ie Bludgeon, Thunderwing.
